The student government is composed of 2-3 class representatives elected by and for each class. We meet once a month to discuss and vote on pertinent issues.
Within the government, we elect a president, vice-president, vice-president of communications, a secretary and a treasurer.
The responsibility of a class representative is to function as a middle man in communications between faculty, school officials and the class. Each year we host the annual “RepPrep” – a crash course in how to get the job done. Also, should you ever be in doubt as to any part of your job, feel free to let get in touch for some friendly advice. You’re not suddenly being let entirely alone with the problems of 80-something classmates!
In order to have your name on the ballot, you’ll need to gather 10 endorsing signatures from you classmates. Think of it as a nomination. A form is available in the weeks leading up to the election, so if you are interested in running in the 2017-2018 school year, it will be available here in mid-September. You can follow us on Facebook to stay up to date.
